STUDENT AND FAMILY PASTOR JOB DESCRIPTION

General Responsibilities: The student pastor will actively work with the Middle School, High School, and Family Ministries at Faith Fellowship Church. The general responsibilities for these ministries will include teaching, discipleship, administration, Bible studies, contact time, and events.

Qualifications and Required Skills:
• Personal commitment to Jesus Christ, the body of Christ, and the mission of God.
• Must agree with Faith Fellowship Church doctrine as outlined in the constitution.
• Must be willing to become a member of the Faith Fellowship Family.
• Should be working towards, or already obtained, a degree in Christian Ministries or from Seminary.
• Must have a heart for youth/student ministries.
• Ability to work effectively with youth.
• Exhibit patience, professionalism, and a Christ-like example.
• Teachable and eager to learn and grow in ministry.
• Strong Teaching skills.
• Able to articulate the faith and a Biblical worldview (view life through the lens of God’s Word)

Report To:
Lead Pastor and Youth Leadership Team

Specific Tasks:
• Teaching Sunday School on Sunday Mornings.
• Helping lead Middle and High School activities.
• Helping lead small group discussions on Wednesday and Sunday evenings.
• Contact time with students with the purpose of discipleship.
• Helping to plan a yearly calendar of activities/events.
• Participate in summer-specific events (Cragmont, ETL, etc.).
• Assist with VBS.
• Weekly staff meetings/planning with pastoral staff
• Monthly meetings/planning with Youth Committee.

Personal Growth:
• Be mentored by the Lead Pastor.
• Grow through reading assigned material.
• Gain valuable ministry and leadership experience.
• Regularly spend time in God’s Word and prayer.

Compensation commensurate with experience

Hours: 20-25 hours per week
