Dr. Randy Spaugh

Dr. Randy Spaugh was born in Tobaccoville, NC on April 3, 1954 and ordained by the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) on May 20, 1979.  Dr. Spaugh and his wife, Margaret, has two children, Mara and Jonas, and two grandchildren, Jake and Jamie.

He holds a B.A. in Religion and Philosophy from Atlantic Christian College (now Barton College), a Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from Drew University.  Dr. Spaugh has previously lead Stokesdale Christian Church in Stokesdale, NC; New Hope Christian Church and Reelsboro Christian Church in New Bern, NC; First Christian Church in Eden, NC; First Christian Church in Hopewell, VA; and Gordon Street Christian Church in Kinston, NC.

His written works have appeared in many publications, including Word and Witness, Carolina Life Magazine, and Choices.  He has also been heard on the radio ministry, A Biblical Moment, since 1999.

John Robert Harris

Associate Pastor

John Robert Harris was born in Clayton, NC on October 5, 1972 and has been the Associate Pastor at Faith Fellowship since October 2008.  He studied Church Ministries at the University of Mount Olive.

John Robert and his wife, Amy, have three children, Carter, Dylan and Kennedy.

Dr. Alan Armstrong

Director of Music

Dr. Alan Armstrong received his Ph.D in Music History from The Ohio State University.  He also holds a Bachelors in Music Education from there, and an Masters in Music in piano performance from Bradley University.  Dr. Armstrong is also a cellist, and serves as principal cellist of the Wilson Symphony Orchestra.  In addition, he is a Grade II bagpiper, enjoying success as a competitor with the Eastern United States Pipe Band Association, and a member of the Wake and District Pipes and Drums of Raleigh, NC.  Dr. Armstrong is also the founder and director of “Free Spirit,” a contemporary Christian ensemble that represents the University of Mount Olive at various functions throughout the eastern US.
